Put simply, water is very important in helping to maintain a healthy metabolic rate. At least two quarts (8 glasses) daily, between meals, is essential—more if you are very active. Drinking between 8-10 glasses of purified, alkaline water every day (I add fresh lemon juice to my water often) contributes greatly to fat loss and reshaping the body, even if you don't change any of your other habits.
